Lamps and Art Glass Lighting Objects
In his original lamps and lighting objects, Ivan Lambrov explores the interaction between glass and light, transforming the functional object into an independent artistic accent. The form, colour, and transparency of the glass determine the way light passes through the material and creates a distinct atmosphere within the surrounding space.
The lighting objects are created using fused and slumped glass, with both transparent and opal glass. Thermal processing allows the glass to develop sculptural surfaces, relief, and volume, while the varying degrees of transparency and opacity influence the diffusion and intensity of light.
When illuminated, the colours, textures, and inner structure of the glass acquire a new visual presence. Each object is conceived as a unity of artistic form and function, in which light becomes an active part of the composition.
